未来氢能

As spring arrives in March and all things thrive, the hydrogen energy industry marches toward a bright future. On March 24, the 3rd Beijing Hydrogen Energy Industry Conference & Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Hydrogen Energy Industry Development Summit grandly opened in Beijing. As the first major hydrogen energy event in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in 2026, the summit gathered government officials, top experts, scholars and industry peers from the three regions to jointly draw a blueprint for the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy sector.

Leveraging its robust technological innovation capabilities, Beijing Future Hydrogen stood out at the event. Its 125kW Single-cell AEM Electrolyzer for Hydrogen Production was awarded the title of 14th Five-Year Plan Innovative Hydrogen Energy Product, emerging as one of the highlights of the conference.

Hosted by the Zhongguancun Hydrogen Energy Industry Alliance, the conference themed Kick off the 15th Five-Year Plan, Lead the Hydrogen Future marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Centering on the core demand for the hydrogen energy industry to shift from pilot applications to large-scale commercialization, it serves as a platform for government-enterprise collaboration and integration of industry, academia and research. The award ceremony for outstanding cases drew wide attention, aiming to set industry benchmarks and promote innovative achievements. Beijing Future Hydrogen’s product was selected for its outstanding technological strengths.

The award-winning 125kW Single-cell AEM Electrolyzer is a core innovative achievement of Beijing Future Hydrogen in green hydrogen production. Adopting the new-generation Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) hydrogen production technology, it has made major breakthroughs in multiple aspects. Featuring high current density and superior electrolysis efficiency, the equipment can rapidly respond to dynamic load changes, making it well-suited to pair with volatile power generation from renewable energy and enable the integrated application of green power and green hydrogen.

Compared with alkaline (ALK) electrolyzers, the AEM product boasts a remarkable edge in size, with its volume only one quarter of that of an ALK electrolyzer with the same power rating. In contrast to Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzers, it eliminates the reliance on costly iridium-based noble metal catalysts, delivering prominent economic benefits.
Zhang Yuhang, Second-Class Inspector of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He stated that Beijing attaches great importance to the development of the hydrogen energy industry, regarding it as a key driver for optimizing the energy structure and advancing green and low-carbon transition. For the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan period, Beijing will continue to give full play to its strengths as a national sci-tech innovation hub, strengthen coordination among Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and strive for new progress in technological research, scenario application and policy innovation, contributing Beijing’s strength to the nationwide development of hydrogen energy.

The award fully recognizes Beijing Future Hydrogen’s technological innovation prowess and its contributions to the high-quality growth of the hydrogen energy industry, demonstrating the independent innovation capabilities of local enterprises in core equipment manufacturing.

A dedicated innovator in the hydrogen energy sector, Beijing Future Hydrogen has long focused on the R&D of core technologies for green hydrogen production. This honor is both a recognition and a driving force. Going forward, the company will take this conference as a new starting point to accelerate technological iteration and promote the large-scale application of AEM electrolyzers. Relying on the industrial advantages of Beijing’s hydrogen energy sector, it will boost coordinated hydrogen energy development across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, help the national hydrogen energy industry achieve leapfrog growth, and jointly build a greener future powered by hydrogen.
